In July of 2004 I attended the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix in Okaland,Pa (just outside of Pittsburgh). There were a lot of old British sports cars and the like. My favorite is the Lotus Seven, of which there were several there, but none of the pictures of me with them turned out (I blame the photographer). The whole day was rainy and overcast but other then that it was fun.
Me with an austin-Healey Sprit. These cars were made from 1958-1961. I always liked these "happy face" cars, I even joined the Austin-Healey club of America a few years ago with the thought that I may buy one but I never did. Look how small!
RACE! Yea, that must be fun. Those are two old Lotus race cars. I always liked those, the Seven is kind of a street version of them.
By my count four Seven's in a row. In this race there were seven Sevens :) But, I couldn't get them all in one shot. Lotus Sevens are the best.
In the background is the Cathedral of Learning. It really was a nice view and this picture does not do it justice
Me in the doorway of Nell Log House in Oakland. The home is a reconstruction of a 1700's homestead. They actually used real timber from the original home. The only "modern" touch that they used were nails and even those were handmade.
